I'm just wondering how long it usually takes to get your r.m.a. package back. I contacted them, and they said it was received on the 3rd of September. ( that's almost a month) I understand they have to do their tests and all, but 1 month! GEEEEZZZZ!

RMA what? I got an Intel Processor off and back in about a week....

If it's ASUS, forget it.....2 months now and still waiting.

It's a Abit KT7A M/B! I just didn't think it would take this long, because I had a r.m.a. #. Boy was I wrong. And they seemed so nice over the phone. All I wanted was an even exchange!

Talking about RMA's... I have a 20 gig WD hard drive that went bad rather fast. I have been checkin to see if and how there was a way to do it. I started on there online site and found the RMA information rather quickly, however, I have not been able to figure it out. I keep runnin into the problem of needing a specific number but I havent been able to figure how to actually get the number. Anyone ever dealt with this? If so any suggestions?
thanks

I just did one with western digital and it took about three weeks. On a positive note they 2nd day aired it back! and it was a brand new drive not a refurb!

if I had to RMA ANYTHING, it'd be a WD product. Cross shipping.

You get theirs in 3 days or so.....then you have a month to return your old one.

within a week i had to RMA 2 WD hard drives...the first RMA replacement is supposed to arrive sometime today, the 2nd in a week or so. So WD is pretty good about RMAs (about a week-and-a-half from when I mailed it)

It usually takes about 10 days after they receive the broken item. Then theres the transit time back to you. They will usually send it back fed ex saver.

That's a good idea! Do they have to ship it back to Abit, or do they check the board at their shop?

i used to do all the rmas for aol

million dollar routers and such ( no exadurating the cost at all )

they had an awsome rma plan

if something broke a new part/machine would be there the next day and then we had a week or so to send the old one back

oh but they should techinicaly send you one first

then you send your broke stuff back

tell them thats what you want to do

( if you dont return it then they bill you for the board)

Don't happen that way..... Fact of life, if it's over 30 days old, they will repair it if they can. Under 30 days, you're likely to get a new one. Abit and Asus are the slowest. I've had Abit take a month and a half on a board already.

Just like a car, you don't get a new one if it breaks.

I just got an email, letting me know they were sending the board back. Boy, I hope it's a new one.

Shadow, can you please tell me more about this Cross Shipping. I just got my HD back from WD, and it doesn't even work! I am very upset! Do I have to contact them about this? (cross shipping)
