It seems that the stats sheet is working again! :D
I think the problems might have had something to do with Tim Cray changing his name to Tim...cause now that Tim Cole changed his name to TC, it works just fine! :)
LOL - couldn't be that simple could it? I got tired of fooling with the sheet last night, so I just changed my name to match my forum name. At least it fixed the problem of us combining, but I'm not sure about the other problems. Ah well crunch on my brothers :)
PS Do we have any sisters? That would be cool - hope this is not an all guy thing.
the other problem still is there. It is when the rank does not get seperated from the user name.

Wait...which problem is that?
Everything *looked* hunky dory to me...but that doesn't mean I didn't miss something. :)
look at yourself on my sheet, the screwed up members change all the time. you are not the only one messed up either

Ah-ha! I see what you mean.
Boy, that's a letdown.

Well, I've figured out the problem. The macro that transfers them looks for the next closing paren that isn't in a link, so whenever there's a name that uses parenthesis at the end without a link is going to get run over.
Now it needs to be fixed. :)

I don't really know the excel code language at all, though I'm trying to figure out where it is that it's done. I'm pretty sure that it gets done in the modStat code...I just can't quite figure out where. I'd assume at the beginning.
Whatever. I'm looking at it, and you guys know what to look for now, too. :)

Alright. I think I've magaged to track down the errant code. :)
Now I just have to figure out how to fix it.
Took the code out due to copyright issues that I don't think we need to deal with.

Ok...I have it where the name jumping stopped.
Now I just have to figure out how to the those with URLs to have names instead of numbers. :)

I am not up on the macros used in this spreadsheet - but would it help if I was able to send a flat file with the following already parsed:
Rank User WU completed Total CPU time Average CPU
Let me know - I already have a parser in place.

I think I've just about got it working right. Gimme like ten-fifteen minutes and I'll let you know if what I'm thinking is going to work.
It currently appears to be parsed like that.

Note to self:
UNDERSTAND POSTS BEFORE YOU RESPOND TO THEM!!!
It wouldn't really help to have the data...I can get that just fine. I'm working on making it so that we can acutally use the spreadsheet that skzdalimit made up. Cause it'll be really nice if it does. :)

Ok...almost working. Right now I just have to find those twenty members from the bottom of the list.
*whistles* Here members, come here *whistles*
:D
here is a web look up in excel. does this help?

Um...actually, I have it all set. :)
Those missing member are all blanks! So unless somebody thinks we need to worry about them...
no they were never there to begin with

Ok, here it is! :)
Not bad for somebody that's never even looked at VB before today. :)
I can't open this new one on my end. It brings up a vb debugger and says it doesn't have the library needed to run the code. Did you use some classes that aren't normally included by default?
And what was the problem with those missing members at the bottom? Seti says we have 655 but the sheet stopped at around 622.

Right..those are all of the blank users getting swallowed up into the one <unknown?> account...it's at 89, I believe. Since there's no name with those accounts, I doubt that the users would much care for thier stats...
I don't know what your problem is. I didn't write any new code for it. I merely did a little deleting and cut and paste, with just a couple of modifications (nothing more than absolutely basic stuff)...I *did* save it in Office 2k, though, as my Office 97 is nowhere to be found.
That could possibly be your problem. Maybe. Wouldn't really think so, though, since you can still see the sheet. That's also assuming you don't have that. I'm rambling. I'll stop now. And download the one that I uploaded and look at it. :)

Hm..I'm not seeig your problem here.
Oh, and I was going to work on getting the name thing taken care of, but since it's not a problem right now I figured we could just get this going out. :)
It's office - I opened it in 2k but not on my box with 97. Glad to finally have this thing fixed. Awesome job!
