I got a problem here,
MBM5 report CPU temperature of 52C ( witch is the bios reading)
and
CPUidle pro 5.9 report à temp of 29C
where did CPUidle get is temp???
is your first sensor the cpu temp?

no, my first sensor is the motherBord, second is the Cpu
The Coolest

Maybe it reads the mobo temp?
That would make sense.It's got to be reading the MB.Try switching the sensors around

how do I switch those sensor priority???
and btw, is having a cooling software going to drop my temp by a huge difference or I'am just going to have 2-3 degree difference...
since I use my comp for Seti when I'am not in front of it, does it work?
You need to go into setttings under temperature and play with the settings.What kind of board do you have?
AHA an A7A.I think you use the via686 sensors.There should be a 1,2,and3 which is your case,MB,and cpu.Play with those until you get it right.

here's your sensor list:
ASUS Primary Sensor Chip Case Sensor CPU Sensor
A7A 266 AS99127F ASUS 1 ASUS2
CPU cooling happens when your cpu is idle only( 0% load ), but when loaded, not much.

what is the difference between Case Temp and MotherBord temp?
I was shure that I had only 2 sensors, Cpu and Motherbord,
gonna check that in mbm5, it say 0C for my 3e sensor... I'am going to play with the setting

I get the setting to sensor 3 in mbm 5 and it show 0C
sensor 1 is motherbord temp
sensor 2 is Cpu temp
sensor 3 is ????

okay, Case temp is your Mobo temp... the Primary Sensor Temp is the the thermistor ( sensor near cpu core ) temp... So, you have a total of 3 temps to monitor... CPU, Mobo, and Sensor Temp...
do this:
sensor 1 = ASUS2 -----> CPU
sensor 2 = ASUS1 -----> Mobo
sensor 3 = AS99127F -----> Thermal Sensor
CPU IDLE dhould have the same read-out as that of your Sensor 1. You can rename the labels so that you wint get confused....:cool:

[QUOTE sensor 1 = ASUS2 -----> CPU
sensor 2 = ASUS1 -----> Mobo
sensor 3 = AS99127F -----> Thermal Sensor
[/QUOTE]
what is the Termal Sensor??? what kind of reading should I get?

Thermal Sensor temp should be somewhere around 20-30oC. Mine is at 25oC... my mobo temp is 31oC

here's a sample nominal temp... system temp is my mobo's...

I have play with all the setting, I'am not able to activate termal sensor #3, maybe my bord is too new to mbm5...
A7a266...
anyway, the important is CPU and Bord temp
I'am going to sleep, I will chek that tomorrow

ok.. just play around with mbm's settings... and try to check out this link from mbm's site...
ASUS Boards supported by MBM5.09 (http://mbm.livewiredev.com/comp/asus.htm)
your mobo is right on top.....
