ive always heard a good steady pressure works.
not giving it a lot, just increasing pressure. use a screwdriver or something to pry, but start out really weak, and then start putting more pressure on it. also, adding a twisting motion to it helps. torque always works ;-)
be careful!

try runing it realy hot for about 1/2hour than try. only other thing i hear other than freezing it
   still can't pull the thing out, i tried the hot way and the cold way again and again....I even broke one of the tooth of the hs (injured many others) this suk...
so now I just stuck the blueorb on there... got up to 198mhz , tried 200, but crash in 3dmark. I guess I'll have to leave it this way.

Here's what I did to get my HS off my GeForce: Pop the card in the freezer for half an hour or so, then slide a thin screwdriver between the chip and heatsink. Apply gentile but *firm* pressure, it should just pop off. Don't go nuts, though.
b careful but firm. don't know how much higher you can go.
If you've got a connection with a machineist get him / her to machine the onboard sink down flat and then just lap it and your replacement sink and attatch them to each other. Tricky to pull off but an actual experienced machineist could do it.
