please help

i had to reinstall windows xp,, when i boot up i get an error saying user profile is wrong or corrup.. how do i fix that problem,,, it says loging in as a temporary user and all setting will not be saved... anyone have any suggestions??

Maybe format and reinstall?

Which profile do you usally log in as, pls say it is not admin. I believe XP is very simalar to 2k, if this is so. If you press CTRL ALT DEL you should get a menu up saying login as different user.

Login as admin and re create your normal user profile. While logged in sure to copy all your files from your my docs folder.
