i doubt youll see much of an improvement.........if i am correct in assuming the 3D porphet card is a kyroII?........you will however hav higher benchmarks

so which is best?

I know they arent in the league of a lot of the newer cards but for a man on a budget

(if you class no cash whatsoever a budget!! lol)

I am not intoo benchmarks etc, and I know the kyro is an opengl based card, sysmark2000m- 4195

should I stick with this card and use the geforce for my kids machine (I got it dirt cheap anyway)

let me know please peeps

you will see an improvement, but whether its worth the hassle of installing the geforce is the question, you will however see an improvement with newer games that come out like unreal 2 which use a lot of cpu power for AI and such, the t&l on the geforce will really help you out in a year or two.....

I have all the latest games now,and they run fine on the prophet, the trouble is my brother has a similar system and his geforce knocks spots off my machine in benchmark tests

if it isn't broke dont fix it, then

thanks all

thats because 3dmark2001 is rigged so that cards without hardware t&l cant survive at all.....try some real world benchmarks.....you should be able to beat him in Quake III and Unreal........ig it games fine keep it....
