Yup. I think so. My DSL service only works until ~6:00 PM, and goes back up in the morning. Slows down at sunset. I have the Westell Wirespeed external DSL modem along with the crappy AOL Plus service. Someone help me before I take my modem outside one night and smash it into the driveway
Have you contacted your ISP?
If so, what do they say about it?
Shame on you for using anything AOL to begin with!

I know...I've had AOL for a lond time, and thought it would be less of a hassle to keep them than to update my address in 15,439 places and with 9,721 people. Turns out I was wrong. Tried emailing AOL, they responded with a message that was friendly but unfortunately contained little information other than their phone number. Haven't called them yet, I'm moving soon and DSL probably might not be available in that area, and if it is, the problem might be gone with the new CO, or whatever the problem is. Or I might just stop using AOL, the obvious but most wise choice.
If you were me, you probably wouldn't want to call AOL:D. After many hours (and many hours beyond that) of talking with them and the DSL company why my USB modem didn't work, the resolution was to wait for an ethernet DSL modem to come:mad:. The story's a lot longer than that, but I've typed enough already. I'm just sick of this problem.

Barium56,
Let me guess the USB modem was an Intel 3200 DMT and the ethernet modem is a Cisco 678 DMT? I know because I do Qwest.net DSL Tech Support. SO Switch to us..we do a good job.

Dude,
I do DSL tech support and I was just talking to Megabit Operations Center (MOC) and they were talking about a time they had a customer who had motion sensor light that came on at night...or other automatic lights or other things that are only on at night. It could be that a lamp or something to close to the phone main..or the dsl modem is causing this..just checking..PM me for more info.
