Ok I tried some of the usual suspects, but as you guys probably know they come with the s*** load of spyware and adaware, so my question is do you guys know any that are not.

P.S. And yes I have Azureus.

limewire, ares, and Edonkey are the ones i use... they definatly arent any Old SchooL kazaa... man i miss those days.

If you publicly state the usage. I will gladly share a good P2P name with you. It is a double edge sword though. If it don't adhear to the rules here I am sorry I can't help you.

P2P question

Since we're on the subject of P2P programs, i was wondering, Is it legal to download music videos? If so what's the safest, securest, fastest P2P program?

I would assume since it is illegal to distribute televised programming without consent. It would be rather illegal.
Now if your using a legal means. It is is rather neat to watch movies and videos. I use a few myself. There is many subscription services out there. I would be happy to share information on which ones I use if you like.

If I had a question asking about getting files you don't have permission to get/own. I would find a forum that was more receptive to that kind of question. Not to discourage you from asking questions, but they try to cover their rear on that here. I am not totally sure of the rules, but it has some to do with legalities.
I hope this don't come off as rude. I just want to try and fill you in.

well, i've heard is legal to download open source things such as music videos and tv shows but i wasn't to sure and i'm not to sure now either...and also what are some good subscriptions? my dad and i tried one once but it was a fake and we don't really want to get ripped off..again...Thanks for the help Enablingwolf :)

For movies, I like Starz online. There is many others but I prefer to use this one for now. Pretty much you download it and watch it. It is a perishable file. Once you get it(without viewing) you got 30 days to watch it. After you use it once you got 24 hours of viewing.
For music videos I like Winamp's videos. Free and sometimes pretty good. Another is Yahoo launch cast(ad driven, but so is tv). There is so many.. One that looks legit is FindVideos.com, I have yet to go there. It is next on my hit list to browse and check out the quality. One of the players even offers on demand videos, even though I am not fond of the (real)player. Heck even Media Player does ondemand videos. There are plenty of video sources and yeah some may be ad driven.
Seeking out known legit services will not get you "the letter". For finding videos/programming it is an easy task and there is so many places to get them too.
Most TV shows/Music Videos are copywriten, and sporting events. So finding your favorite TV show may not be totally legal. Then agian I am not a lawyer.

If your not in the US your laws may differ. This site is based in the US so it has to ahdere to US laws.

www.uknova.com has a lot of legal tv stuff, but its mainly uk tv (some great comedy and drama stuff though as well as some international sports events). They only share stuff that is not being commercially exploited (i.e. not sold on DVD/VHS or via internet subscription services) and they remove any potentially dodgy content at the request of the copyright owner. I have downloaded over 60GB from there of fanatstic shows that I loved from ages ago, or stuff that I missed on tv over the past few days. Apparently many of the copyright owners are aware of the site but have chosen not to take legal action against them.
