I got these two fans off of ebay and they came with this weird looking connector. They also came with some 4 to 3pin adapter s, but they don't in any way fit. Heres some pics, the first being everything I got.

A little better, I also emailed the seller, but haven't got a response yet.

Look at the fan see if they are 12v DC if yes than cut the wires and conect them to the 3 pin conector

you can't post mult pics unless they are already on the on a shared internet directory already and then you use the [IMG'] header and the [/IMG']

edit... oh yes, those fans are speciallized for special server systems and use different connects but you can cut them off and connect them to a 4x connector

yes there 12v and I know how to connect them by cuting them, but I was just wondering what this connector was for, it must be for something. Also I'm still waiting for a response from the seller.

i have never seen this type of connector before, did the seller say what the fans were out of? maybe a overhead projector or something like that

The fans are brand new delta fans, he had a whole bunch, heres the link

Like I said, I emailed him a few hours ago, there has to be a reason for that connector.

Okay the seller told me the connector for a dell server, nothing too amazing.
