View Full Version : Newegg.com Vs Jab-Tech

Newegg.com has the XP-90C for $66.99 and Jab-Tech has the same XP-90C for $47.95.

Now from everything I've read in this forum these are both great companies... but GEESH... This difference made my choice easy, especially since I can get the item from jab-tech without the tax (I'm in a taxed state for newegg). Infact, with shipping (ground) at jab-tech I can get the XP-90C for $54.24. That's $18.74 less than newegg with FedX saver shipping.

Most vendors I have checked online all have the XP-90C for 50$'s or less.... not newegg, though. Ironically, I can now get the XP-90C with a Nexus 92mm fan from jab-tech for $66.29 (shipping included).

I just wanted to point this out I suppose.

yeah jabtech is great, for certain things like fan, and cooling, other stuff isn't as cheap, but moral of the story use places like resellerratings.com and search for the best price.

If at all possible I always try to order from Jab-Tech over Newegg since I like to help the smaller companies that have been good to the Overclocking community.

John at Jab-Tech is a real good guy.

John at Jab-Tech is a real good guy. No kidding, he treats everyone from here so well. Plus his shipping is so cheap seeing I'm from MA and he is in NY

I read all of the posts here on jab-tech. At least all the one's with `jab-tech` in the title... I've never seen an online vendor get such high accolades.

Not to mention NY is so much closer to me than CA, too. :)

When I get ready for another cooling/fan order I'm going back to Jab-tech, I remember when I got my SLK-947U and my AS5 wasnt in the package, I emailed them up and it showed up a few days later. I highly reccomend them :)

Well, here it's 2:30pm and I already have my tracking number; order was placed at roughly 12:00pm. This was my first order with them, too! Nice and fast. :burn:

Good service on the net no longer a utopian fantasy? I've been shopping at the wrong places far too long (on the net anyway).

edit/

Oh yeah, forgot to mention - I weenied out at the last minute and bought the XP-90 instead. I didn't go with the XP-120 even though it delivers a degree or two more because I want some flexibility as to what case I can use. The stinkin PSU's on all my current boxes are so close to the MB tray! Though I know this can be a good thing for other reasons.

The more I thought about that near 2 pounds hanging off my board the more chicken I got. Ah well, they're both great HSF's from everything I've read.

I got an email from SVC 2 weeks ago and they had it for $47.95 as well. I don't know what it is now, though.

Not every company can have the LOWEST price. Each company has their own specialties. Newegg is #1 customer service, in my book. They have outstanding prices on lots of stuff, but it doesn't mean that EVERYTHING will be. For example, their mp3 players won't be the cheapest b/c they don't necessarily SPECIALIZE in that.

I'll tell you one fact about Jab-Tech that upped their stock in my book.

John at Jab-Tech is a member here, if he comes across a person that lives outside the USA and this person cannot get an item delivered to him due to the vendor not willing to ship overseas. Jab-Tech has on many occasions gone out of his way to get the item for that person provided he has the item in his inventory. I have spoken to John at Jab-Tech many times on the phone and he's a real nice guy. Also Jab-Tech used USPS Priority as an option, and that's as low as $3.85.

Also Jab-Tech used USPS Priority as an option, and that's as low as $3.85. I have pmed him many times with questions regarding items, and he is so fast. Gets back to me in a few hours tops. I also mentioned to John a while back I was ordering a new system and I needed a cooler, and he told me that they were putting the xp-90c on sale with a fan controller and ceramique. the cooler was the cheapest anywhere as well as the sunbeam controller and ceramique. Man is an A++ retailer in my book

Plus shipping is always so dirt cheap and fast

I have made one order from Jab-Tech. I ordered on a Sunday, and had all my shipping notifications within an hour. Products were here on Tuesday. If the selection were larger, I would order everything from there. I was VERY impressed with JabTech. In fact, my latest build had parts from 6 vendors, all ordered the same day, and NewEgg's packages were the last I received.

Thanks all for the heads up on Jab-Tech, I honestly had never heard of them, I just set up an account, I will gladly give some business to the "small" guy, Especially since everyone gives such strong recommendations.
Just glancing around the site, The prices look pretty darn good.
