Remote conections

Was wondering what the prefered software for XP to remotely connect to another PC?


My parents always have problems with their PC and I am 4 hours away in another state. We both have Comcast cable internet and I would like to set something up to take car of their problems from my home PC when I can.

Probably any of the VNC programs. VNC, RealVNC, TightVNC, there are more im sure.

I was wondering WHat is the difference between VNC and pcanywhere? I was going to look into buying PC anywhere but now that i have looked into VNC it seems very interesting
