Snag this baby up!

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16814164025&ATT=Video+Cards&CMP=OTC-B1zrat3

Coupon code- CNETHELP1

And spend the leftover $$$ for another 512RAM, and you should have a rig that can handle pretty much anything you throw at it...

Newegg Refurbs=Stay Away. The 9800Pro is better anyway.

Really, for your price range, ATi is the way to go... If not you may want to get a 6200 that is NOT TurboCache, and unlock it to a 6600.

The 6600 would be a good buy. I recently had come across a review that showed a 6600 overclocked to its max. The result was just a few % from 6600GT performance in most benchmarks.

a 6600 would beat a 9800 and ive you new features.

I would say "Get a job" and then get a 6600GT. Unless you are less than 15, jobs are all over the place especially in Brooklyn.

Man, that was a stupid comment!, that wasn't needed?was it? you never even gave him a reason to think about getting a 6600GT>? all did was you did was tell him to get a job? and he can afford a 6800NU if he wanted!, but he needs a 1GB memory stick! so, he has decied to buy a graphics card with the rest of the money(please read the topic subject  )

yes the 9800Pro is a great value card for you budget it can still do 1024*768 gaming with AA+AF on high settings you don't wan't a referbished card, may i ask what you are doing with that 1gb memory stick?

BTW, I'm the one from Brooklyn, not him. And I do have a summer job... Subway, eat fresh! :santa:

I'm glad you have a job. That way you won't start a thread that says "I'm 17 years old and my Mommie only gave me $200 and I need a 6800Ultra. Please help me.

If I was a kid living with my parents and wanted a PS2, games or a new computer I would get a job. There are so many entry level jobs that go unfilled. In a few weeks of part time work a person could get any vid card they wanted and they would appreciate it more. It's basic psychology.

good choice on the 6600gt. For spending that extra $30-40, you probably gained much more performance. I think if you would have gone with a cheaper card, you would have kicked yourself in a month and wished you had spent a little more money. Just save up a little more money, then get the gig for the psp. For me, computers come first
