Question about XP

Is it possible to revert back to the previous OS on a pc , if you upgraded to XP from Win98 SE for example. Is there somewhere in the OS any of those who are using no that will let you restore your previous OS if you upgraded?? Without formatting?

ok....i think XP has that. i know it did with the earlier betas, if you upgraded it would ask if you wanted to safe the last OS data. to revert to the last os, you would the just go to "add/remove programs" in control panel and remove windows xp.

but i havent done an upgrade since(to be honest, the XP upgrade sux.....the fresh install is awesome), so i cant say if it's in the newest build or not.

The other option is to dual boot.

I have 98SE on a 3 gig partition(FAT32), and 2000 on the other 17gig(NTFS).

If I decide to remove either partition, all I'll have to do is reformat it to the appropriate format. No de-installing or reinstalling required........:D
