That looks like basically everything :)

But make sure you get a few extra cables to be on the safe side. And DEFINITELY get an extra bag or two of screws. Cables and screws are nearly always includes in the motherboard package and case respectively, but it's always better to buy extras just to be sure. It'll only cost several more dollars/pounds.

Yes, you simply apply AS5 onto the core of the cpu and then put the heatsink on top. Most heatsinks come with their own thermal paste, but it's usually very ineffective stuff - so AS5 is a good idea

Also - make sure you've got all the peripherals, e.g. a good monitor (are you going to be using a CRT or TFT flatpanel?), keyboard, mouse.

Speakers are also quite important, especially as you are spending a LOT of money on getting a state-of-the-art sound card. If you're paying more for a good sound card, you want at least a Dolby 2.1 sound system. With the kind of money you're paying out though, you might even think about a 5.1 speaker system. But DON'T just get a stereo 2-speaker system, it'll be a total waste of an expensive sound card.

Benchmarks
3dMark01SE - http://www.futuremark.com/download/?3dmark2001.shtml. This is used for testing video card performance, giving you a score to compare with other people.

PCMark2004 - http://www.futuremark.com/download/?pcmark04.shtml. This tests your cpu, memory and vid. card performance all together, again providing a score at the end to compare with others.

Stress tests and utilities
SiSoftSandra2005 - http://download.guru3d.com/sandra/ Useful suite of diagnostic and performance tools

Prime95 - http://files.extremeoverclocking.com/file.php?f=103 Used for torture-testing your cpu to improve or test stability (e.g. after overclocking)

Ati-Tool - http://www.techpowerup.com/atitool/ Excellent utility, used for overclocking your ATI video card

(What's a good Nvidia overclocking utility, anyone?)

Memtest86 - http://www.memtest86.com/ Good utility for checking stability of memory, but has the hassle of only running in full MS-DOS mode. Only really used if the pc experiences a serious error and won't boot, and you want to see if its caused by dodgy memory. Otherwise, you can use Prime95 in Windows

A basic guide to overclocking: http://www.overclockers.com/articles740/index02.asp It's a bit out of date, but the principles are still the same. You learn very quickly about overclocking once you start, but you can never know everything there is to know about overclocking, so don't hesitate to ask us in the future :)

Hope this helps :)
