(Os = XP PRO)
Can I use my cd writer to boot into DOS and upgrade my BIOS without a working floppy drive.
Is it possible to use a USB mem stick as the file source for flashing.
I'm trying to avoid buying another floppy drive I don't want and, upto this moment, haven't used in a long time.

both are very good alternatives to a 3.5" Drive. you just need to get a working, bootable OS (command line, DOS) up and going. Also, if you have access to it, just run a Linux LiveCD solution, and install your bios upgrade from the command line in the Linux Distro (examples: Knoppix, Overclockix).

Go to www.bootdisk.com and get a DOS image. Burn this on a bootable CD with e.g. Nero or mkisofs+cdrdao
