I'm in the process of putting together a new system and everything is bought with the exception of my memory. Here is what I've purchased already:

Asus P4P800-SE
P4 3.0C
Fortron 500W(can't beat 69 bucks, thanks for the deal)

Looking for 2x512, and want to stay under 200.00. I'm also interested in running standard voltages, and would like to be able to run easily at 250FSB. I was looking at the OCZ Platinum 3200 Rev2, however I was reading that it's not very fond of Intel, any truth to that? If so I'm looking for suggestions. Thanks in advance!!!

If you can find some OCZ PC3700EB used you would be very happy. That OCZ should be fine, but IMO not very likely it would hit 250MHz at stock voltages.

That won't hit 250 easily. If you want some that can hit 250 get the TCCD version. Which is the XBL chip.
