WIN2K Pro or XP !?!??!

I have a Dell P3 450 Laptop and I am torn between putting WIN2K or WINXP.
I am looking for performance, I'ts not a gaming rig, but, well, you know, I'll have games on it. ;)
Any help would be great.

I have used both, Win 2k is super stable and so far XP has been the same for me after an upgrade install from 98se.

I would choose XP, interface and appearance is cooler.

I would chose 2000. Simply for driver support for that older laptop. Sometimes you get lucky and 2000 drivers will work on XP, but sometimes you dont.

2000 is by far the best. XP smells like spyware to me.

XP is a great OS, w2k allows 16bit sound to become 32bit so it was passed on to ME which in turn was passed to XP

either XP or W2k will provide you with a stable system to do what you like
