I was thinking, going to get a raptor HD. I was atracted to the 36 GB raptor, beacuse it is alot cheaper and i really dont use that much space. But then i came across a deal on Dual 36gb raptors, so i was thining i could run them in RAID. Anyways i was kinda curious how well this would work, and how raid works. Would i have the os on one and all the stuff on the other? i am not sure, a good explination would be GRRRRReat thanks guys for helping me with my nub questions. thanks.

When you setup a raid 0 array(which is what you want if you want speed) windows sees the 2 drives as 1 large drive. You can not put things on different drives because you only can access them as a whole. Be careful though because if one drive fails in a raid 0 array you loose the data on both drives.
If you setup a raid 1 array, you used both drives but only get the space of one. This is because one drive is used to mirror the other driver. This is a great setup if you are worried about saving data. The raid setup does not give any speed boost and you loose have of your drive space.
