It's a good thing too. Most of those ads on pricewatch were very misleading.

some companies where offering pre-orders of the Oct 9th launch and it was confusing because the stupid model numbers and I don't think they should sell it if it ain't in stock. bait and switch imho.

If you worry about whether the Athlon XP will be available, rest assurred they will be, in about a week. But at pricewatch.com some vendors were advertising "Athlon XP 1500 1.5 Ghz". Which is totally misleading to even some informed tech savy person. This will not be the last time either I don't think.
