Over clocking the K6, as well as any other CPU, will follow the generally accepted practices for the most part.
A good place to start would be on the front page of this site under "Beginners Guide". There you will find a wealth of information that you can apply to this aging platform that the K6 is based on.
As far as specific questions or problems, post more information about your system. Post the motherboard, cpu, heat sink etc. that you have. With this information we will be better able to give you answers more specific to that platform.
You may also want to take the time to review older posts in this catagory from about three weeks ago. There were quite a few threads related to the K6 line of CPUs with a lot of useful information posted.
I hope this helps,
Good Luck!
Having oc'ed a couple of K6's in the past, be aware that you can't expect to get very much out of them. Their ratings were pretty much the maximum they can get to, although there is the odd exception.

My K6-III didn't need connecting anything to change the multiplier. I would guess that you wouldn't need to do it either. But I could be wrong.
Good Luck.

K6s arent locked so u should just up the multipilere or fsb. Try checking in bios if u find something and try upping it a bit.
If not try look at the mobo and check if u find any jumpers.
But i dont think u gonna get more than 300mhz maximum.......
k6s just plainly sux. Even a p1 is capable of ocing better + is even faster clock by clock
I don't have any practical experience with K6's but read my sig for what I did with my K6-2 and you'll see that anything is possible. Although the K6 specs are probably a good deal different so I wouldn't just up your voltage the same as mine. I suggest doing what FRANK said, read old posts and Beginner's Guides before doing anything. You might get up to 350 with your setup.
Good luck.
