Will these work with any sata controller. I have onboard sata and wasn't sure if it would work?

If it is SATA it shouldnt matter if it is on or off board AFAIK. I dont see why it wouldnt work...

They work only on Intel ICH5R, ICH6R, and Silicon Image Sil3x12 based SATA ports. It will not work with Promise SATA controllers.
