windows me has been giving me alot of errors in the past few weeks and i cant figure out what happend or how to fix it.i'm not the only one who uses the computer and i've asked everyone what they had done on it in the past weeks but couldnt find anythiing out.

heres the errors

if i try to open gozilla it will say something like "rich edit initialization failed"

when i type in dxdiag in run it says "could not load riched32.dll"

when i try to start microsoft works by clicking on a shortcut icon on the destop or toolbar it says "Msworks has caused an error in crtdll.dll"

if i try to open norton anti virus by right clicking the icon on the toolbar and selecting open norton antivirus it says "nmain has caused an error in swplugin.dll"

if i try to open goback by clicking GBmenu.exe it just doesnt do anything,i can open parts of it by going to the folder in program and clicking gbdrive.exe or gbfile.exe.

some people told me i had the nimda virus but i download the nimda fix program and it scanned my comp and said the nimda was not found.

i was going to use goback or system restore but it would only goback about a day.

i would reinstall windows but i have alot of stuff that i cant save to a floppy disc and have no way to save.

is there anyone here that can tell me what may have happend and how to fix it without deleting everything i have?

direct x still works and everything,it just wont bring up dxdiag.

thanks.

Either that or try reinstalling the programs that you're having a problem with to a differant directory. It might be a prob. in the registry.
