how to measure? apart from professional tools...i don't think the common joe can measure this very easy

you'll have to rely on the specs given on your particular fan...usually they represent the fan running at full with no obstruction...so if u have a lot of stuff in the path of your fan...or your intake isn't big enough...it'll probably be lower than spec
