Wave driver problem ??

I have recently purchased a Intel desktop board D915 GAV which has a built in sound card. My system came with Win XP with SP 2. I have the latest audio card driver installed which I down loaded from Intel site.

I frequently come across the problem that most of the software report that "UNABLE TO FIND WAVE DRIVER" and the sound does not activate on these softwares. Can some one please suggest a solution to the problem ??
