There is a good deal on the net for OEM versions of WinXP Pro. I have read that MS will not use activation for it's OEM versions, but that it will only be for specific OEM's. Anybody have a clue as to which OEM versions will be activation free?

For a version to be activation free, you need to get a volume license edition...

So I guess I should just wait and see. I'd rather not have activation as I'm constantly tinkering with my system.
Well u can't buy version of WinXP whitout activation, there is oem corporate version but it is not for the end user it's for corporations.
And it need just serial :)
guess where from I know :)
lol
The volume licence edition will cost you a bundle. Its for corporations who need to install one copy on like, 50 computers that are the same make/model. That way, MS dosn't have a heart attack when they see that 50 copies of their OS are installed on 50 of the same computers.
Oh, and F0, careful w/ the warez angle. The mods don't like it. Hate to see you banned just for talking about something everybody does. ^_^
