OK, I have given up!!
I recently built two AMD pc's 900@1050 and 1000@1028 (and going up!) but haven't had time to reassemble the old ones yet:
Point is, my map software no longer functions! I have MS Streets and Trips 2001, I've run it (at different times) on a Dell laptop, AMD K6-2 450(@500!) and a dual PII 400. But I cannot get it to install on either fast AMD system. One pc is running Win98 and the other W2KPro.
Both are clean installs prior to overclock.
Other apps/games install fine.
The last error message I got during an install was that a file could not be found, yet I did a manual browse to the cd and it was available, and in fact was already copied to my hdd!
Virus scans completed and clean both before and after.
Any ideas?
