Hi

My OS keeps locking/freezing up, runs games ok but when idling or when i open different windows it keeps locking up. Took the sound card out and it behaved for a while but now reverts back to freezing? In system info under problem devices it has 2 codes:
ACPI IRQ HOLDER for PCI IRQ STEERING ACPI\*PNPOCOF\000000023
and 000000022

Also in my graphics card menu driver error :NVDisp.drv - not certified.

Can anyone help please?

Go into Device Manager and check to see if you are having device driver conflicts. IRQ sharing should happen automatically with ME but sometimes IRQ conflicts occur. If you have an older computer, you may need to upgrade the BIOS. If you do have a conflict, you may have to disable a device to correct the problem.
As to the second error, it sounds as if the correct driver for ME is not being used.

I had quite similiar problems and I found out that it was the power supply, I had a 250watt so I upgraded to a 400watt and it solved it. Got my 400watt psu for £33.99 from www.pcwhouse.co.uk (pc warehouse) its temp controlled and its suitable for pentium and amd systems!
