1.2Ghz AXIA now at 1470!

Under full load for an hour and a half the CPU temp, measured from the underside of the waterblock only reaches 33C :-) WOW

Before the Koolance Rig my idle temp was higher than that when @ 1200!!!!!

Unfortunately I think my KT7A is preventing me from going higher, I've had the Ram at 150Mhz CL2 on my old PIII. Even with the mobo watercooled 150Mhz is a no-go on my board no matter what the CPU is set at. :(

Also another strange thing is that my Geforce2 doesn't like my memory set at 133 with APG x4 turned on under WindowsXP/2000 but it's fine under Windows 98/ME .......

I would do some more investigation but my hard disc died with everything on it 2 days ago :( it's the third Maxtor I've had die in 6 months...... I'm NEVER buying *rap from them again, and they where junk for Raid Arrays anyway *sigh*

Hopefully will have my 100Gig Western Digital today, so will do some more investigation to see how far this Koolance Rig will go
:p

Koolance honestly amazes me. I like my home made water cooling rig, but having my heater core outside of the case is somewhat unattractive. What really amazes me is the size of the lines they use. It's something like 0.19" ID!!!

Is that temp measured using the Koolance thermistor, or some other device? What does MBM5 say? What's your ambient temp. (32F?)? Anyways, I'm sure the Koolance is a nice system, but I find those temps pretty hard to believe.

the temps arnt that hard to believe realy

I get those temps when its about 75f in the house

water cooling is awesome if you tweak everything out and learn from your mistakes

I guess thats what Koolance did=]

try a maze 2 water block and I bet your temps will be even lower:D

I have 3 Coolers in my case......

!. CPU :)
2. GPU :)
3. Mobo :)

My Geforce2 (standard) is now at 230/265.... Using a blue orb it would only get to 215/265...... I'm a very happy bunny.

As for idle temps, I hav't checked them out seriously, I'm still waiting for a couple of new hard discs before I can really test my new toy out to the max :)

As for the people who can't believe 33C - all I can say is "O Yea Of Little Faith" beleive it - it's true......

p.s. The Air Cooler I had was a very nicely lapped GlobalWin Fop32.

I was waiting to get a Lian-Li PC-70 for it 's ability to wick the heat out but after seeing the price on the koolance and it's construction I think I'll build a Northwood around it. Kool and quiet. Way to go.:)

Update, the ambient temp is always within 6c of the processor temp, or should that be the other way round?

I've now got a 120Gig Raid array (2x Barracuda 4's) Sweet :)

Worked out the problems with my FSB, one of my sticks of Ram was a bit dodgy..... My gts refused any 3d work with the fsb at 133 under xp, under 98 no probs....... now with the stick removed all's well again...... strange.......
