DirectX hardware support.

ive been reading about Motor City Online (what a game!) and noticed it will demand DirectX8a to run properly. Its a very basic question i guess. If my GeForce II MX is a board which supports the DirectX7 features how would it manage to work the DirectX8 ones - playing the game for ex? would i lose all them (from DirectX8)?
which r the currently GPUs that support DirectX8 other than the GeForce3?

dont worry your MX will be able to play the game just fine aslong as directX 8a is installed. DirectX 8a features are not done in hardware if you card does not support them, your CPU has to handle that work
