I have an Asus V8200 Pure, and I am wondering if anyone knows if how accurate the asus thermal sensor is?...

I am just wondering becuase I know that the thermal sensor on Asus motherboards tends to rate it about 10C higher then the accual temperature is.

With the default settings, and default heatsink, i was getting up to 57 under load on my V8200,

Now with my Alpha PAL15U HSF, I am getting about 46C in accordance with Asus Smart Doctor.

Jack,

My Asus Mobo reports the same temps as MBM monitor and perhaps I am lucky that mine seems to work.

Regarding your GPU temps with the new Alpha pal15u, they sound like they are reporting correctly. With my GF2 Ultra, my temps are under 40*c at full load measured with a digital doc with my probe on the back of the GPU with my alpha cooling it

Not all the Asus probes read to high, I think it where mostly old ones.
