I'm and considering using watercooling for my system. Here are the specs:
Antec Server Case 1040B
Antec NeoPower 480W PSU
MSI K8N nForce4 Ultra
AMD Athlon64 4000+ (Clawhammer, stock heatsink and fan)
1GB of OCZ DDR3200 Rev2 (running at 2-2-2-5-1)
eVGA nVidia 6800 Ultra 256MB
SB Audigy 2ZS
2 WD Raptor HDD (RAID0)
1 Seagate 250MB HDD
16x DVD/RW
4/80mm Case Fans
Currently I'm only overclocking the video card at 438Mhz. I want to move to watercooling to be able to overclock and to quite the PC. The system generates a lot of heat.
I have been looking to go with Swiftech setup and have a water block on the CPU, GPU and system chipset.
Is anyone watercooling a simular rig? I can go with 2-80mm radiators with no problem; however, a 120mm radiator will require that I mod the case. Any opinions? How many or what size radiator are required to cool the CPU, GPU and system chipset for the hardware that I have?
Also, how often do you have to add additional coolant? Are there is setups that have the reservoir is a more accessible place that one of the 5.25" bays?
I appreciate the advise.
