might be a long shot but worth a go...
I have a iPaq RX3417, it has a 400mhz samsung chip with 64mb ram, bluetooth, wifi, camera, ect ect ect.
you may not know this model as i think it is a aussie only one...
basically it is a cut down version of the RX3715, 128mb, 1440mAh (instead of 920mAh in the 3417)
Now... I have some problems with mulitasking on it. My poor little RX3417 keeps running out of ram. now for the question..
Is there anyway to do a ram upgrade on one of these iPAQ ppc's?

don't think so... but you can always use an SD card.

I would still like to know if it is possible. But, can I use a SD as extra ram? Like make IE put its temp files on the SD card? Thanks

Here's what you need to do:

Backup any important data.

Do a hard reset

Re-install all of your applications, but when you go into ActiveSync, you need to NOT select to install the applications into the default directory. I install all of my important applications to an SD card.

Very small, but critical applications go straught in main memory.

Very small, but very important go straight into the "built in storage." Everything else is on the SD card, particularly games.

If that fails there is some company that opens up Pocket PC's and solders more ram onto the circuit board inside, but it's super expensive.

Here is a tutorial that shows exactly how to do it:

I have the 3715, and I install everything onto the built in storage. Most of the time I have a huge amount of memory free. All my movies and music go on the storage card. The only thing I have in the main memory right now is the theme I made, which I'm very proud of.
