Im currently using a abit nf7 motherboard witch supports 8x.
I was recenently using a radeon 9000 which works fine..
I ordered a radeon sapphire 9800 , which works because ive tested it on other computers"friends", but wont run for me... I keep getting a monitor unplug error on screen.......I was told to read about video flashing the card or somthing in order for it to work.. any idea gues..

the card is in all the way and i have a 420 watt power supply..whats the program

hmmm i would doubt that would fix the 'problem', is the card plugged in with a molex connector? that would be my first tip, if it is then try the other card again and make sure the mobo is still working fine.

yeah the card is plugged with to power supply...

Make sure it is flush in the socket... i have had this problem before.

What PSU does you friend have? Is there a possibility that yours is a low-quality one that is stuggling to put out a decent 350w?

flush in the socket? .. i made sure its in there good , i have a 420 watt

Hi Escobra,

Provided you are happy with your PSU is sufficent, I would tend to uninstall all your previous ATI drivers, which may be optimised for your older ATI 9000 video card in your PC, by using the Add/Remove in Windows. Power down to swap with your new ATI 9800 HW and reboot. Then install the new ATI Drivers for your 9800 card in windows from fresh, it should work this way! :rolleyes:

I'm having the same issue. i just ordered a 9800 and i have a 365w enermax psu. Did you get you card to work yet?
