It drives me nuts to open Explorer and have the d... My Documents folder open. is there any way I can stop this? Thanks. :bang head

Do you mean Internet explorer, windows explorer, or explorer (the windows GUI)? If it starts with explorer (when windows starts), check for screwy startup things using msconfig (or hijackthis!).

It's Windows Explorer. I don't remember ever seeing a My Documents folder in the other applications. Maybe I missed it.

try using the windows key + e to open up the windows explorer. It opens up with my documents tree closed and the My computer tree open.
