Im almost clueless on RAM. All I know is, that is where my overclock is suffering. I have kingston value RAM, and it overclocks about 20MHz. I had to put a divider for a better FSB overclock. Im not sure how much I want to spend right now, all I want is some RAM to look at. I dont really want any more or any less than 1GB.

For budget OC'ing RAM you should get TwinMOS 1GB (2 x 512MB) (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16820218062) $87

Medium priced RAM also very good OC'er OCZ EL Platinum Revision 2 1GB (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16820146890) $170

King of all RAM G.SKILL 1GB LE (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16820231006) for $281

hmmm, I kinda like the look of the OCZ RAM. The reviews are pretty good, anyone here have any experience with it?

Yeah just do a forum search. There are lots of recent threads where we have dicussed this. Just look for TCCD and/or TCC5 in the title or use search for it.

A guy over at 2CPU forums got his Xeon duallie up to 250 1:1 using four sticks of that OCZ EL Pt rev2 memory.

I just got my OCZ 3200EL R2 last week. Mine will do 11x260 stable for day to day use. I've run it up higher for benches but thats about all its good for. Of course there is still some tweaking to be done but I'm in no rush.

I'm happy with it but if your looking for higher FSB get the gskill.

if you look around at what people have around here...most have GSKill followed by OCZ.

the GSkill seems to be the hottest sets of RAM for ocers. although you DO have to pay for it.
