I came across something the other day that was pretty cool.
It turns out you can actually roll over your A+ cert to a CST (Computer Service Technician)
and your Network+ to a CNST (Certified Network Service Technician)
These are equivalent certs offered by the ETA-I. (They aren't as widespread as Comptia but they are known)
They have some other cool certs that they offer as well, here's the link.

The roll over link

It costs $30 to rollover the CST
$50 to rollover to CNST
It's worth?
You get an extra certificate to put on the wall (I think the certificate looks a fair bit better than the comptia) and something else to add to your resume.

Edit: I forgot to mention they are good for 4 years. As they more or less expect you to continue on your certification process.

I just checked it out and looked at the CNST program it looked more like the A+ than the NetWork+ to me. It also says you have to renew every 4 years, where CompTia is lifetime. I've never heard of them until now so I doubt they have that much cred and by the website and materials I viewed they seem awful sketchy.

Getting the CST and CNST actually goes towards becoming a master CET if i'm not mistaken, which is lifetime. Most of their certs are aimed towards people dealing in electronics vs IT. I've seen several people on different forums with em, who are pursuing the master CET or already have. Their list of certs is impressive to say the least.
