Speed fan temperatures of a NW 3.0

Hi all,
I attach a photo of my Speed fan results for tempature of this chip. Can anyone explain

Northwood under full load.
Note the rise in the last quarter is when i closed the case cover.

1. Which is the CPU, and what is the other temperature ?
2. Why is the green temp 'spiking' so much. ?


I know theres not a lot go go on, but just ask and ill add any additional information.

Note the MB is an IS7, not an IG7 as in my sig. Also CPU is running at stock 3.0, with no GPU overclocking either.

I suspect I may have damage to my CPU?

MY Temp 3 on Speed Fan is 76C, I'm hoping it's not the CPU.

To know wich one is the CPU temperture, you could try some of following things:
1. Change the CPU Fan rotation and look for the temperature that changes
2. Let something run that needs a lot of CPU power (like a CPU benchmark, videostreaming, -ripping etc.).
3. Search the internet for information about this program!

Already had this utility installed! but been so long since i used it I forgot it was there.


So Red line is CPU, and Green is PWM

So what is PWM? And why is it so erratic, especially when the hood is on.?

chart is system under 99-100%cpu load. start temp a little higher than no load, as it was just after a loading test.
