Help choosing a laptop

Im looking to buy a new laptop and im not sure what the cheapest laptop for my uses is. It will be used for word processing, limited work with pictures, instant messaging and web surfing and not much more. It will not be used for gaming at all or anything to intensive. The only real requirements i have are that is has a current generation processor in it, wireless internet capabilities, and a CD burner. Im thinking dell would probably be my best bet, but what model is a good choice?
