Think my 9800 just gave out...

I was loading up the Sims 2 for my sister when I noticed slight artifacting, but I kept on loading it until it crashed. So, I rebooted and streaks and patches of artifacts everywhere. My 9800 Pro R350 is flashed to XT with the humongous Zalman heatsinks and even the optional fan in addition to PCI-slot fans right underneath. Upon examining the heatsinks, I found them to be nominal and not too hot. I'm also running the latest Omega drivers, I believe. Is there any way to salvage this card?

I thought only the R360 could be flashed to XT ? Or am I thinking of something else ?

No, one can flash R350's, although some would detest it. I badly require assistance...

try reflashing it back to the original bios and making sure you got good contact with the heatsinks, also load stock drivers

Well, my friend and I have came to the conclusion that the memory chips are fried. I suppose there's nothing to be done about it now, is there?

did you try flashing it back to the original bios? have you tried underclocking it? it may not be the memory. it could be a bad cap even.

Thanks for your help rhino, but I've quite given up hope. I did reflash it back and tried it in two computers to no result. Currently, my friend is toying with it, but I doubt he'll be able to do anything.
