I have started looking at Acer laptops, specifically the TravelMate 4504LMi and the Travelmate 4654LMi, mainly because of the amazing bang for your buck that you get. However, the reviews online have been very mixed so I am really unsure if I should go for one of these machines or not. What do you think of these laptops and of Acer laptops in general. The following links will take you to Cnet where you can see the specs of the computers as well. Please help me decide if this is something I should do as I need the computer for college. Thanks!

Dident read that review thing but that is just one model it looks like.

I Have the 1690 and it is awsome. Great quality and crisp and bright screen. About 3 and a half hours with wi-fi 80%, brightness and full speed. My only problem is mine was sent from Pcconnection with the wrong video(i got the intagrated intel... still works for what i need tho). I've looked at Dell's, HP's, and iBooks and picked Acer. Don't really think that i would get different brand when I decide to upgrade.

If you have any other questions lemme know and i'll get back to ya.

yeah i've used a few acer's, for what you pay they're really nice, most of them are small and sleek looking.
