View Full Version : MSI problem.
I saw someone say that MSI had to high temperatures in the processsor, between 50-60. I have a Msi K7t turbo based on the Via kt133a chipset and wonder if there is any solution for this problem, cause my temp is just 50-60. and it worries me.
Thanks in advance.

get a digital temp probe..........and install it between the cpu and heatsink or somewhere near there.........

That's the best method for accurate temp measurement with the current Athlons. The new XP's do have an 'on die' temp sensor. I have had a 'Turbo' as well and had the same high temperature readings. Maybe it has to do with the thermocouple placed on a lip and touching the back of the core.

the msi is pretty accurate. The Asus Probe software is the really bad one. What cooler do you have on your system?
GlobalWin WBK38.
With ****ty silicone paste between..
Well, I lowerd my vcore voltage and have temps between 40 and 50 now.
But I can only run at 900mhz i think...

MSI K7T Pro 2-A here.. no inaccurate temp readings. Great board, only flaws are lack of the four holes around the socket and the KT133 chipset.

The MSI do read a bit hotter. bad location for the sensor.
My MSI K7T Turbo is currently at 44C at load with my fan power reduced to 7V
(couldn't stand the noise from the 80mm Delta/Swiftech). At full 12v power from the fan, I was at 42C full load.
TB AXIA 1GHz @ 1.4 GHz. Vc is at 1.65V, 133X10.5 (although I could go above 133, I wait til I get a better Video card)
