I've got a Duron and got a strange stepping.

AMD Duron
D750AUT1B
AKCA0047BPMW
Z8127151212

Anyone know how well it can oc? What is it's maxium temperature? Notice it's "Z" not "Y". I've seen "Y" can oc a 750 to 1000 with no problem. Dunno "Z" though...

the stepping is the second line of code, or third line from your data

akca's are great overclockers

my duron 750 did 1000 before i cracked it and broke

make sure you have good cooling when you overclock.......

i had exactly the same duron and got it up to 1011 MHz @ 1.85 volts. it's a good overclocker and if you do a voltage mod and have really good cooling (watercooling+peltier) you'll get even higher than that.
good luck!

Try and see... But remember of good cooling comes first.
Let us know what u can get out of it.
Good luck!

Freezing Cooling system + High Vcore (>2Vcore)
That will brings you to high speed

ummm after reading a stepping guide I know something about your stepping.... Is a good overclocking stepping and I think you can oc your thing from 1000 to 1100 maximum.... If you are lucky, you may go up to 1200! Wish you good luck

Just see this in OC home... CPU database

2.32 V
AKCA
A7V133 VOLT MOD

i don't believe this.....even with vmod and extreme cooling the durons max out at 1100/1200

and durons cant take 158fsb anyways

Hey, i got a duron 800 mhz with v. similar code

D800AUT1B
AKCA 0045WPCW
Z7798140484

should i expect similar results, or will it go a bit higher as its an 800?

my bro has an AKCA "z" had it at 1ghz with 1.6 volts! it was stable as far as i could tell, he says it crashes too much, even though i didnt see it..... i gonna push voltage up a bit. that needs fiddling with the bridges or not?

well the 1.2 is kinda hard to believe but if you can post it at 8.5x133 then pushing up to 158 is possible. a couple of guys with 600's got to 1.2 with high fsb so it is possible but I bet it wasn't air cooling.

My previous processor was a Duron 800:

D800AUT1B
AKCA0106PEW
Z8484540436

I had it at 1015Mhz (7x145) stable. 1036 was about as high as it would go. This was with a thermaltake Volcano II HSF and 1.75V.
Rest of the setup was as below.

Three weeks ago i got this chip:

D700AUT1B
AKCA0110FPCW
Z8680160385

Right now itīs running at 980 (7x140), rock stable with 1.95V, but it could do Sandra loops at 1036 and even booted at 1050 (2.05V). I think the old hdd and vid card that I keep from my previous machine are holding me back, so I canīt push the FSB higher...

Rock solid @ 1053mhz (117*9.0) with 1.85v for a couple of months. Crashes like crazy @ 1070mhz. Soon I'll try for 1200-1300 with the overvolt mod on my motherboard.
