T-Line Question

Ok, I have tubing for 1/8" ID, 3/4" (or is it 3/8"?) OD. I have been to every hardware store here in town, and neither had a 1/8" Barb T-Line, so I grabbed a 1/2". Now, I came home and checked, and I can push the barb into the line, and it fits snuggly (very snuggly). If I clamped off the end, would it still be fine to use, instead of a 1/8"?

1/8" is the thickness of the tubing when it is 1/2" ID and 3/4" OD. You got the correct thing.

Alright, that makes me feel much better. Thank you. (And, sorry for the noobish question, this is my first setup, and i've had the stuff for over 3 months without being able to do anything with it, so the details of it all are slipping me)
