bios flashing on asus p4c800 without cpu

Question here can that board be flashed to newer bios without cpu in the socket?

ATX motherboards can't boot without CPU, and most cannot do anything unless POST'ed

Negative, gotta have a CPU in the socket to flash the bios.

Make sure you are using the newest AFUDOS also if you're flashing to a newer BIOS, otherwise it won't work correctly.

Yes you can do that but you got to take the bios chip out (eeprom) and put it in a special device called eeprom writer i think to flash it , and then put it back...
......too much trouble and money if you haven't got a but flash and want to restore it...
