Is it possible? I've seen people modding/hacking iPODS but I haven't seen anything for the Jukebox. BTW, with the iPOD, can you mod it to support more file types than it normally does?

i think that would require a hacked firmware... so far i haven't seen any around

im pretty happy with how my dell works on its own...although a firmware that allows playlist re-organization would be sweet...

Some of the Dells support Linux.

From what I can tell, though, I'd stick with Windows Mobile for now.

I think you need better software. I have to say that Windows Media Player for mobile is all good except for the playlists. I only have to do it a few times and save the playlist files, so no big deal. While I'm not positive, I think that it's also possible to create playlists with the desktop version of Windows Media Player and then Activesync the files.
BTW, the worst feature of the Dell is that the USB connection is very slow. I use a card reader for big files, though, so no big problem. But I sure hope that Dell releases firmware to fix it.
