Hey all I recently joined Overclockers.com team for folding@home. BTW one good thing when I joined my RAC was enough to bring the team up 4 spots from 34 to 30.

I'm averaging about 2,900 seconds per WU. I've got several still pending and some sent in. So hopefully I can be of some help to the team.

Also I have a question are they even updating the teams page for Folding? Because it hasn't put my name on the list yet. Anyway talk to you all later!

Welcome to the forums. Welcome to the fold.

Every bit helps. Happy to have you aboard.

How long ago did you sign up? The stats page does get updated.

I joined about a day or two ago. BTW are there any upgrades or optimized things that I need to attach? Like what SETI has?

Welcome to the FOLD :welcome:

Just make sure you look in the stickys for optimizations.
Also make sure you are rolling bigpackets in the config file.

What are bigpackets? And what do I need to do to use them?

Assuming that you're hardware is up to it.It makes FOLD at Home run only big point packets.Takes a little longer but the points are much better.

Edit the fold@home config file with notepad add a entry after checknet=no
(copy the box thingy)between the box thingys type
bigpackets=yes

Can you give me the directory as to where to find that config file? Also about how much longer does it take?

I'm confused is this team overclockers.com or team 32?
Also is it to late to join the Not WW5 compition?
And what do I need to do just keep doing what I'm already doing? Which is Folding

Where ever you installed fold@home at.Albeit most of us put it on our C: drives. In the fold at home folder is where the file live.

when you set-up fold@home and give yourself a name to fold under it asks for a team.If not set to a certain team value, it defaults to team 0.Which is where alot of folding teams lose points .Their folders don't know or don't look. :bang head
But all of this is in the Config file.

Team 32 is Overclockers.com
There is also sub teams within if you want to compete within.
But in the end all the Folding around the world is working towards a common goal.Something we all should proud of as folders.

Just hope we help in finding a cure for some of the things like Alzheimers.
Because I'm already forgeting important things.
Who are you again?
See its already setting in. :bang head

Thanks Tollhouse. But I didn't find it I did a whole computer search and did not find it. Are you using BOINC?

F@H isn't through BOINC yet... (at least not beyond Beta)...

F@H is its own client.
