I'm sorry if this is in the wrong area, but this is bugging me. I can never keep up with the differences in the IDE controllers. My extent is ATA 100, ATA 133, and RAID. I've seen a couple of motherboards offer UltraDMA, didn't really understand it, and googled. Didn't get really any information One site said that UltraDMA 133 is the exact same thing as ATA 133, so I'm curious if this is true, and if not, what is it?

Again, sorry if this is in the wrong area. :-/

Well Ultra DMA on Intel chisets mostly are limited to ATA-100.Unless using SATA which is ATA-150
As far as NF Chipsets its Ultra DMA allows it to run at ATA-133 with some Hard drives.ie MAXTOR drives work well on NF chipsets.Unless using SATA which is ATA-150

So this is a partial yes.You are pretty much correct.
