i know this Stuff is Not Recommened..... But, sadly the Guy Who i baught my CPU and HSF off of Put the Thermo Epoxy on it....
and i was wondering is there a way to get it off.... or is this a hopeless thing....
im Worried for my CPu ** celeron 500 **... i Rilly dont like how hot its getting its all most Hitting the Melting point... 50Deg C..

oh yes you can, start off with goof off, scrub it lightly till it's all off, then clean with some rubbing alcohol to get the smooth touch, then goof off one more time, light on the goof to make sure nothign is left, alcohol again and dry with a lint-free fabric, then apply the real stuff. good luck.

So basically, i Got to Pull it off??? Thermo Expoy remembre... the Glue Stuff.. !! :)

You can try topry them apart or there may be a solvent that will dissolve to. See how easily alcohol dissolves the epoxy. If its fairly easy the put the whole thing in a container of alcohol and let if dissolve. Also if you get a set of flat feeler gages you might be able to keep working at it till it's loose enough to pull apart. Or maybe a combination of all of these might work. The main thing is to avoid at all costs scratching the die itself. Always work with pressure applied toward the heatsink. Good luck.
