how can i edit a game file ?

its for hoyle friday night poker.

i was wondering how to change a current name. is there any program that you can use to edit and change such values.

its a hpk file type. i woudl upload but it is invalid file type here. (of course)

If its just a text file you could try opening it with notepad, if not I'm not too sure.

Thats going to be tough to do without the game editing tool of that specific format, you can do it the hard way of using hex values, but that would take a lot of trial and error and probably looking at messing up the game file. Look around the net for that games modding tool, if it is possible then it should be out there somewhere.

cool thaks guys .. i think i found the right tool for the name.. interestign enough i can change the value of cash i have too... but thats more difficult.. as my name is represented exactly as it looks.. while the bank account value is all screwy.. oh well i got my job accomplished .. the tool i used was by Software by Design FxEdit

it allows hex and string editing .. not bad little tool..
