ok guys, I've downloaded the graphical client and installed from stanford. however, every WU seems to need a couple of days to finish from a P4 2.8ghz running 1 folding client and 1 seti classic client at the same time. is it normal?? or I didn't set it up right?? I didn't bring up the graphic (I know from task manager each time it draw the graphic takes up cpu cycle) and just let it running in the systray.

I know you guys made an excellent OneClick Service installation. however, I'm not sure about it as I still want to have full control over the client like I do in seti. e.g. start/stop/progress/etc.

exactly. WU's from Stanford take a long time to fold

Just make sure you joined Team32! (that's the team number given to overclockers.com)

so graphical and console client will make no difference in speed as long as I don't bring up the nice graphic, right??

but if I want to run 2 client, then I'll have to do at least one of them in console? and still have to be in different folder right?

can the OneClick service installation still allow me to monitor the client and start/stop it at my will?? via using EMIII? any more info/help will be appreicated about the OneClick or any ultimate way for Folding as I'm starting to look into it more now and might switch my seti farm over (or at least a few of them). TIA.

if you are on Win2k or XP, then you CAN stop them at any time with the nice command services.msc.

Type it in the RUN box of the start menu. Find F@H in the list (using the one click... we even have a one-click set up for Hyperthreaded/Dual Processor Machines that sets up 2 clients at once

yeah, I actually joined the team32 after I told myself I'm done for the seti1 (classic) a little while ago and got about, just, 2 WUs finished before I was called to join the seti boinc team race. and since some of the, nice, folding member offered to help out the seti team, and I've been thinking of folding ever since "finished" w/ the seti classic. it's about time for me to look into folding again.

how can I keep tracking the progress of folding if I use the OneClick method? and last I've told Folding doesn't support any caching WUs, right?

i don't know about caching the WU's (i know we've had a thread about it somewhere)... but I do know that You can just go to folding.extremeoverclocking.com and find your stats there... folding.stanford.edu has them also.... but if you want to see the fold and see how many points its worth, etc.... find Electron Microscope 3... Its a great program.
